The English language week

 

The English language week took place right before Christmas (13.12 -17.12.2021) and was marked by numerous school and class Christmas events.

 

A lot of primary school students eagerly took part in Christmas card exhibition contest (English teachers I. Jerofejeva, S. Nanevič).

 

Year 6 students created fun and informative “Christmas events in Vilnius” posters and also participated in the “Creative Christmas Mask” contest (English teacher O. Gric).

 

Year 7 students participated in the integrated English, biology and technology project “A Christmas tree - cut or made from recycled materials?” The result of the project – an impressive exhibition of hand-made Christmas tree still decorating one of the school halls (teachers I. Jerofejeva, S. Kanapickienė, V. Antanavičiūtė).

 

Special issues of the school newspaper “English-speaking countries” and “Christmas is coming” were prepared by 7 and 9 year students (English teacher I. Gončarova).

 

Last but not least –  all school “Advent Riddles” contest which was launched on the 1^st of December and lasted until the 23^rd of December. Every day a new riddle to solve was published, encouraging the students to learn more about Christmas traditions and improve their (not only Christmas) vocabulary (English teacher V. Litvinavičienė).
